This Privacy Policy explains how PetzSo (operated by Kuja Tech Private Limited, “PetzSo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you use our mobile apps, partner apps, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

Note: Some features (such as social posting, stories, comments, or ads) may not be available in your region or at the current stage. However, the categories of data described below reflect the data we may collect when those features are enabled.

D. Location Data (With Permission)

If you grant permission, we may collect your approximate or precise location to show nearby pet-friendly places, services, and events. We do not collect background location unless you explicitly enable it and your device OS permits it.

E. Usage & Interaction Data

We collect information about how you use the Platform, such as:

  • Searches, views, clicks, favorites/saves, and basic navigation events
  • Bookings/requests (e.g., date/time selections, selected pet, selected service) where available
  • Ratings and reviews where enabled
  • Trail tags or categories you interact with (for personalization)

F. Content & Media You Provide (When Features Are Enabled)

If enabled in your app version/region, you may submit content such as photos, videos, captions, comments, or other materials. We store and process that content to operate the Platform and provide the requested features.

G. What We Do Not Collect (Current Intent)

  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., religion, political opinions, biometrics).
  • We do not store payment card details because we do not process payments in-app at this time.
  • We do not claim to collect device “metadata” for fingerprinting. However, basic technical logs (e.g., app version, crash logs) may be collected to keep the service reliable.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and maintain the Platform (accounts, profiles, listings)
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
  • Enable discovery of nearby pet-friendly places and services (including map display)
  • Enable bookings/requests and related notifications (where available)

B. With Service Providers (Vendors)

We use trusted vendors to operate the Platform (e.g., cloud hosting, media storage, SMS/OTP delivery, analytics/crash reporting if enabled). These vendors process data under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only to provide services to PetzSo.

C. For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect safety, investigate fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.

D. Business Transfers

If PetzSo is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable safeguards.

E. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

PetzSo does not sell your personal information as “sale” is defined under applicable privacy laws.

7. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking

Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for basic functionality. At this time, we do not actively use cross-site advertising trackers on the website.

We may introduce analytics tools in the future to understand usage and improve the Platform. Where required, we will request consent before enabling non-essential tracking.

8. Data Storage, Hosting & International Transfers

PetzSo stores and processes data using cloud infrastructure. As communicated in our product compliance decisions, our primary storage region is currently India (e.g., GCP India region), but service providers or backups may involve cross-border transfers depending on vendors and reliability needs.

If your data is transferred internationally, we implement reasonable safeguards as required by law (such as contractual protections and security measures).

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Account and profile data is retained while your account is active.
  • If you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your data, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal claims).
  • Backup copies may persist for a limited period due to technical constraints.

C. Region-Specific Rights

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, or other regions with specific privacy laws, you may have additional rights. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law.

To protect users, we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

12. Children’s Privacy

PetzSo is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us at support@petzso.com and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Third-Party Links & Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party services (e.g., maps, messaging apps, external websites). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. PetzSo is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
